(Foole) another bomb digity vegetarian saudi breakfast!! ๐Ÿฒ๐Ÿงจ๐Ÿ˜‹๐Ÿ˜‹

Image
(Foole with cooked tomatoes) is a well known food for breakfast in Saudi Arabia and the rest of the middle eastern world. It's a fava bean stew that will rock your world and consume your taste buds with flavors and textures. Every middle eastern country makes it differently. In Jeddah, we like it with (Cushna) which is a red sauce made from tomatoes, onions, cumin, garlic and other spices. Boy, just typing about it makes me want to makes some right now! lol. Anyway, let's begin. First and foremost, let me show you what it looks like. Oh, remember to eat it with fresh pita bread or Tameeze my favorite bread.  I already shared my recipe with you in one of my other blogs.  This is another way to make it. As you can see in the image below the texture of the beans is different and there is barely any sauce in it. This is where if you don't like tomatoes, you don't have to add any, also if you like your fava beans whole, then go for it!  I personally like my Foole with to...

(Saleeg) is a native Saudi Arabian famous Rice that everybody loves!! ๐Ÿ˜‹๐Ÿ˜‹๐ŸŽก

Image
Saleeg is a famous Saudi rice. usually it is prepared for celebrations, but we also eat it as a regular meal at dinner time.  The way it is cooked is unique considering it is a savory dish. people in Saudi Arabia like to gather around a large platter to fellowship and eat it, they sit on a Sofra (which is like a disposable plastic tablecloth for the floor to set the food on). Salata Hara is like a salsa but different, you put it on your rice to eat. It's a complimentary salad to every rice dish including  Saleeg.                                              This is either a celebration or a family gathering!        INGREIENTS: For the Chicken Stock 1 whole chicken  8 cups of water 3 green cardamom pods 3 cloves 1 cinnamon stick  1/2 tbsp of white pepper powder  1 large onion cut in half and peeled       ...

(Tameeze) the bread that will make your taste buds sing!! ๐Ÿฅฎ๐ŸŽป๐ŸŽต๐Ÿ˜‹

Image
Tameeze is literally my favorite bread.  So far, I have yet to taste a bread that I like as much. It's unique and very flavorful. It has a wonderful texture especially when it is served hot and fresh out of the oven or the tandoor.  It usually is eaten with breakfast like Shakshuka (Saudi egg skillet) or Foole, which is a fava bean red sauce with onions and spices;  Also with Edams which is kind of like Indian curry sauces that have meat and different kinds of spices and vegetables.  Basically you can eat Tameeze with whatever you wish!!      INGREDIENTS: 4  cups of flour 1 1/2 cup warm water 4  Tbsp vegetable Oil 2  Tbsp yeast  1  Tbsp sugar   1/4  tsp salt 2  Tbsp Nido whole milk powder or any milk of your preference as long as it is cow whole milk .
