(Tameeze) the bread that will make your taste buds sing!! 🥮🎻🎵😋
Tameeze is literally my favorite bread. So far, I have yet to taste a bread that I like as much. It's unique and very flavorful. It has a wonderful texture especially when it is served hot and fresh out of the oven or the tandoor. It usually is eaten with breakfast like Shakshuka (Saudi egg skillet) or Foole, which is a fava bean red sauce with onions and spices; Also with Edams which is kind of like Indian curry sauces that have meat and different kinds of spices and vegetables. Basically you can eat Tameeze with whatever you wish!!
INGREDIENTS:
4 cups of flour
1 1/2 cup warm water
4 Tbsp vegetable Oil
2 Tbsp yeast
1 Tbsp sugar
1/4 tsp salt
2 Tbsp Nido whole milk powder or any milk of your preference as long as it is cow whole milk .
DIRECTIONS:
Put flour, sugar, salt and yeast in bowel and mix, adding
water gradually and mixing until smooth
Knead with your hands the mixture till dough is firm
Add oil and repeat kneading till smooth, then shape into a ball
Cover the bowel with towel and set aside in warm place for 1 hour
Divide the dough into two portions placing them
on floured work top
With rolling pin spread the dough 1/2 centimeter thick
and repeat process for other half of dough,
Place each portion of dough on a baking sheet
Cover with towel place aside, covering for
15 min
Heat oven 355 F (180 c)
Rub face of dough with milk before putting in oven
and bake until golden
Take bread out and serve hot and fresh
