Alrighty now, who loves an excellent crispy stuffed Indian Samosa? I do!!👋 Some people don't know that there are all kinds of Sambusa and it is not just an Indian dish. So today I will share mine and my dad's favorite Saudi Arabian Sambusa recipe with you. Trust me you will not regret making or eating it because it is wonderfully delicious and satisfying. My former coworkers from the Hollywood Market deli department can testify that they loved it when I made it for them one day. Are you ready to rumble???😉  Then let's begin, shall we?

These are baked Sambosas

                                                    These Sambusas are deep fried

These two pictures I borrowed from google just to give you an idea of what Saudi Sambusa looks like!

This is the Sambosa filling, that consists of cooked ground meat of your choice, chicken boullion, Vidalia onions, fresh parsley, cumin, fresh dill, hard-boiled eggs, and a little bit of black pepper.

This is the Sambosa dough that you can buy from the Middle Eastern grocery stores

If you choose to bake them, brush each with egg yolk

INGREDIENTS:
Heat the oven to 356 F/(180c) or you can also deep fry

1 Tbsp of Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1 package of Sambusak dough from the middle eastern grocery store. Or you can also use
     wonton dough
1 chopped Vidalia onion
1 package of ground meat of your choice
3 peeled hard-boiled eggs chopped
1 chicken bouillon cube
less than 1/2 cup of fresh dill
1/2 cup parsley
1 pinch of black pepper
1/2 Tbsp of powdered cumin
1 large Tbsp of flour
2 Tbsp of water
1 egg yolk ( to be brushed on the dough)

Directions for the filling:

1. Heat the olive oil in a skillet and add chopped onion, ground meat, spice and chicken bouillon.

2. Cook and stir until the meat is halfway done.

3.  Add the fresh herbs, parsley and dill to the mixture and stir consistently until done.

4. Turn off the stove and add the chopped eggs, mixing the ingredients.

5. Place the Sambusak dough, one at a time, on a cutting board. Put the filling on the edge of the dough.

7. Mix a small amount of flour and water into a paste to dab on the edges of the dough.

8. Fold the dough and mixture into a triangle shape or the shape of your desire

9.  Put the Sambusa in a greased baking sheet.

10. Take egg yoke and spread a little on each Sambosa with a brush.

11. Bake until golden and serve.
